This seasonal escape home for this Colorado couple is a Mid-Century gem! Built and designed by architect Paul Rudolph, the couple wanted to keep the original form and style with some modern upgrades that would improve how they use the kitchen, provide better storage and more convenient accessibility. We were able to work around the original exposed brick and still add addition prep space and 6″ more to the clearance. The mirrored ends grant the illusion of a longer kitchen and the glass storage behind the sink counter is a return from the original Mid-Century style. The end result of this open galley kitchen is simple and yet very remarkable.
A special thanks to Bill Christie at Christie’s Kitchens and Bath in Venice, FL for the design collaboration.”
